Saraswati in Hinduism is the Goddess of Knowledge, intelligence, consciousness, creativity, education, enlightenment, music, the arts, and power. Divine knowledge is not possible without the blessing of the Goddess Saraswati. Saraswati is the mother of the Vedas which are the divine sacred texts in Hinduism.
Those embarking on the unknown path of acquiring divine knowledge are advised to worship Saraswati as she is the Goddess of learning.Saraswati is also considered as the feminine aspect of the divine mother, the feminine energy which includes in itself the knowledge of the absolute. Modesty is also considered as a virtue of Saraswati,as it is not considered civil to boast about the knowledge which you have acquired, this knowledge should be passed on to others and shared and not to kept hidden.
The Saraswati Aarti is a prayer dedicated to the Goddess Saraswati; it is advised that all seekers of knowledge recite this Aarti with devotion, dedication and a pure heart.
